Amberg Technologies Establishes Subsidiary in Wuhan, China, Marking a New Milestone

At the 2024 Wuhan Investment Promotion Conference, we announced the establishment of Amberg Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary in Wuhan, China. This marks a significant step forward in our commitment to serving the Chinese market and expanding our presence in Asia.

Enhancing Infrastructure Through Innovation

For over 40 years, we have been pioneering solutions in track and tunnel surveying, supporting critical infrastructure projects worldwide. Our products and services are trusted across more than 40 countries, and our expertise has been integral to numerous industries, including railways, highways, metros, hydropower, and water conservation.

In China, our journey began in 1994 with the introduction of the TSP tunnel seismic prediction system. Today, our solutions are recognized as benchmarks for innovation and quality, particularly in high-speed railway construction, where over 75% of projects rely on our technology.

Why Wuhan? Strategic Location Backed by Strong Government Support

To better serve our customers in China, we identified Wuhan as the ideal location for our new subsidiary. Positioned at the heart of China’s transportation network, Wuhan boasts unparalleled connectivity and is home to over 70 universities, making it a hub for talent and innovation.

The Wuhan government has been instrumental in supporting our expansion. From facilitating site visits to fostering investment discussions, their proactive assistance and responsiveness to our needs played a key role in our decision. As emphasized by CEO Johannes Müller during the conference, “The strong support from the Wuhan government gave us full confidence in choosing Wuhan as the base for our new subsidiary.”

A Vision for the Future: The Asia-Pacific Technical Support Center

Amberg Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. was officially registered in December 2024 and will commence operations in March 2025. The subsidiary will focus on developing innovative technologies, managing import and export operations, and establishing a dedicated Asia-Pacific Technical Support Center. This center will strengthen our ability to serve the region while preparing for broader global outreach.

This new chapter reflects our commitment to supporting infrastructure development in China and beyond. By leveraging Wuhan’s dynamic ecosystem, we are well-positioned to deliver advanced solutions that meet the evolving needs of the market.
