Swiss Geologists' Day

The Swiss Geologists' Day is an event organised by the Swiss Geologists' Association (CHGEOL). The conference is organised and held every three to four years by the Swiss Geologists' Day Association. The Geologists' Day brings together around 400 geologists, experts from authorities and administration as well as researchers and students from Swiss universities. In addition to the exchange and promotion of contacts, the conference conveys current knowledge and is intended to give professionals new food for thought for their professional and scientific activities.

In our Test Gallery in Flums, we carry out rock mechanics laboratory tests to determine the material properties of the solid rock. We provide you with high-quality test results on the strength and deformation behaviour of different rock samples. Our testing spectrum includes uniaxial and triaxial compression tests, split tensile and point load tests as well as the determination of the Cerchar abrasivity index.

In the area of unconsolidated rocks, we offer the usual tests such as sieve and slurry analyses. In addition, we classify the test results according to USCS.
